The Map Pages

In addition to the above sections, the site also contains pages illustrating each of the maps.  These pages contain an image of the antique map overlaid with the modern outline of Orkney.  The pages also provide information relating to the maps and their errors.


Versions of each antique map corrected for its sources of error are presented on a second page linked to the original page.  


The layouts of the pages for the original and corrected maps are indicated at appropriate points in the Methods section which can be accessed by clicking “Next.” below.
